Not too much to say. I've always loved stoneware pottery, so over the years when friends were tracking down jewelry, etc. at craft/trade shows, I was on the lookout for pottery. NEVER did I even imagine I would one day be unloading my own pieces from my very own kiln!
Around 2000 the opportunity presented itself for me to take a pottery class from a local potter whose work I admired. With my two sons grown, I had a little extra time so with the encouragement of my husband, I jumped right in and my love affair with clay began!
From the first lump of clay in my hand, I was hooked! Working with clay is therapeutic for me and excitement builds with each kiln unloading. There is still much to learn and I have not yet even scratched the surface, but I am enjoying every step of my clay journey.
So now after hoarding my pottery treasures (like children I'm keeping in the nest --- some of which need to be kept out of sight!), I'm finding my shelves, nooks and crannies overflowing. With friends and family members asking me to release pieces to them (for cash out of their wallets, no less!), I'm most humbly presenting items for view on my very own website! Go figure! Anywho, please browse and email me should you have any questions.
